With many Leaving Cert students uncertain on what career path to follow, Patrick Buckley discusses why university was not for him. An apprenticeship has led Patrick into a career in Estimation with CJK. There are plenty of career progression possibilities following an electrical apprenticeship, along with the opportunity to work abroad. CJK are competing in their own Operation Transformation again this year. However, we have decided to challenge our charity partners Coolmine to get involved and see who can lose the most weight. All funds raised will be donated to Coolmine to help them continue their work in transforming lives. CJK's team slacked this week with a weight GAIN of 7.4lbs, so CJK's total weight loss to date is 44.7lbs. Some serious effort is now required from the CJK team to get back on track.
Wondering about the progression opportunities that come with a start in CJK? Sean Glen outlines how he has progressed since qualifiying as an electrician with us in 2012. Are you looking ofr a job that is physical, challenging and technical? Do you enjoy problem solving? Do you work well in a team? Do you want excellent rates of pay with a qualification that is recognised world wide, offering you the opportunity to work across many different environments? Then an electrical apprenticeship could be for you. Meghan Seal, a CJK apprentice discusses why she chose an apprenticeship. CJK recently completed the electrical installation on the new National Handball Centre. The project, which CJK began in April 2019, is the first of its kind in Ireland. There are 7 playing courts with the main show court seating 500 people. The building will host the world handball championships in March and will be used throughout the year for county finals. |
